Teaching Online

Teaching online requires many of the same skill sets and insights into the adult learner as teaching in traditional face-to-face classrooms; however, there are unique skill sets required for successful online teaching. This course is designed to help prepare instructors for teaching in an online or hybrid learning environment. It also highlights some of the common advantages, disadvantages, challenges, and solutions related to online learning and teaching.

• Define online learning accessibility and its components.
• Define the key terms related to online learning accessibility for clear communication with the online IT staff
• Identify the standards, laws, and requirements related to accessibility in online learning environments
• Explain ways to help ready online students for success in the online learning environment
